The Triune God
· We hold to the God of Israel as the One true God, existing eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He alone is to be worshipped as prescribed in Scripture.
· The Authority of Scripture: We believe in the divine inspiration and doctrinal infallibility of the original manuscripts of the Old and New Testaments. We accept the entire Bible as the supreme and final authority for our faith, life, and ministry, and as the sole basis for all true doctrine.
Humanity's Condition
· The Fall of Man: We believe that all of humanity, and indeed all of creation, is in a fallen state due to sin. Consequently, it is impossible for anyone to achieve righteousness before a holy God through their own efforts.
The New Birth and Christian Walk
· Salvation by Grace Through Faith: We believe that salvation is received through the New Birth, a gracious act of God in response to repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ alone. We hold that Jesus, in His sacrificial death, took upon Himself the penalty for our sins and imputed to us His perfect righteousness. Salvation is not earned by human effort but is a free gift. Those who reject Jesus Christ will face eternal perdition.
· Sanctification and Holiness: We believe that all who are born again are given a new heart and spirit and are progressively sanctified in a real and personal way. This work is accomplished by the power of Christ's death and resurrection, through the indwelling Holy Spirit and the truth of God's Word. Through sanctification, the dominion of sin is broken, sinful desires are progressively weakened, and the believer is strengthened in grace to practice true holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
Core Doctrines
· The Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts: We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the charismatic gifts, continue to be active in the church today for the edification of the body of Christ.
· Humanity and Gender: We believe that God created humanity in His image as two distinct and complementary sexes—male and female. We affirm that this design is divinely ordained, with inherent purpose, and is not a social construct or a matter of personal choice. For a more comprehensive and detailed explanation of our biblical convictions regarding human sexuality, we affirm the principles articulated in The Nashville Statement.
· The Church and Ordinances: We practice believer's baptism as a public declaration of our faith. The biblical view of communion, or the Lord's Supper, is an ordinance established by Jesus at the Last Supper to remember his sacrificial death on the cross. We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers and seek fellowship with other Bible-based evangelical Christians, churches, and ministries, even where we may differ on non-essential doctrines.
· Future Things (Eschatology): We hold to the pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ, at which time He will establish His millennial kingdom on earth. We believe that God's prophetic plan for the salvation of the world is intricately connected to His plan for the regathering and salvation of the nation of Israel.
Doctrinal Positions and Clarifications
We affirm biblical unity but reject false ecumenism or any form of unity with non-evangelical expressions of Christianity that hold to a different doctrine of salvation or a basis of authority other than the Bible.
Furthermore, for the sake of clarity, we explicitly state that we do not believe in or endorse the following:
· Hyper-Charismania: Any excess or unbiblical manifestation attributed to the Holy Spirit.
· N.A.R.: Any movement or teaching associated with the New Apostolic Reformation.
· Word of Faith: The teachings of the Word of Faith movement, including the "little gods" doctrine.
· Replacement Theology: The teaching that the Church has replaced Israel in God's plan.
